# **Ravelin's Responsible AI Principles**

Ravelin is guided by responsible AI principles. We are committed to fostering innovation that upholds our core values of integrity and thoughtfulness, creating a positive impact for our clients and the global community through the reduction of fraud.

---

### **Responsible AI Principles**

1. Safety, security, robustness and data governance
2. Transparency and explainability
3. Fairness
4. Accountability and governance
5. Contestability and redress
6. Social and environmental well being

As we develop new products and AI systems to help our clients gain valuable insights and enhance fraud detection capabilities, we will adhere to these Responsible AI Principles throughout the entire life cycle of each AI system. We will review and update documentation annually or sooner where appropriate.

For each AI system we have considered:

- Its purpose and how it will solve the problems intended through its use.
- Impact on individuals and clients, including any additional oversights required.
- Proposed model inputs and outputs and the quantity and suitability and accuracy of the data sets.
- Procedures to collect and process data, including labelling, cleaning, enrichment and aggregation.
- Limitations to the generalisability of models based on the training and testing data used.
- Features to enable clients to report errors and provide feedback.
- Oversight and control functions.
- The system UX, features and client training materials.

### **EU AI Act**

We are aware of the various application dates under the EU AI Act. We have set out those which are relevant to us below and we shall be seeking feedback from all of our stakeholders to ensure compliance.

- 2 February 2025 – AI literacy rules came into effect. In compliance with these rules, we ensure that all Ravelin staff dealing with the operation and use of AI systems have a sufficient level of AI literacy.

- 2 August 2025 – Rules on penalties, governance and notification came into force.

- 2 August 2026 – Full EU Act applies to AI systems.
